Stelios Piperidis, Head of the Natural Language Processing and Language Infrastructures Department of the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) of the "Athena" Research Centre and Director of the CLARIN:EL Research Infrastructure, was recently interviewed for the Language Data Space (LDS) newsletter.
The LDS Project, which started in January 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, aims to develop the Language Data Space as part of the Common European Data Spaces ecosystem, making a key contribution to identifying and facilitating access to data sets and data streams (public and private) that can be used for building Large Language Models and advanced Language Technology applications.
ILSP/"Athena" RC is one of the core consortium partners, entrusted primarily with the design of the architecture and the implementation of the main technological components.
