The Hosted Resources Repository (HRR) hosts resources provided by organisations that do not maintain a repository or individual providers and makes them available to the users of the infrastructure.
ILSP/"Athena" RC, the network coordinating organisation, is responsible for the management of the Hosted Resources Repository.
Every provider who stores his/her resources or services at the HRR has full control over the resources/services and their metadata descriptions. S/he can add or delete resources, modify their descriptions or add new information, define their licensing terms and, in general, do what providers who maintain their own repository do. It is, in other words, like having a repository, without having the related management responsibilities!
