The 15th Conference "Hellenic Language and Terminology" was successfully completed in Athens on 6-8 November. The event was organized by the Hellenic Society for Terminology (ELETO), in collaboration with the Department of French Language and Literature of NKUA and the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG). This year’s conference was dedicated to the memory of Panagiotis Kontos, Professor of Linguistics and Secretary-General of NKUA.
A total of 26 scientific papers were presented, organized into six thematic sessions, while the invited speakers Amalia Moser (NKUA) and Natalie Kübler (Université Paris Cité) delivered two highly engaging keynote lectures. The Round Table Discussion on "Artificial Intelligence and Terminology" attracted significant interest, highlighting key issues related to the use of Artificial Intelligence in terminological work and practice, and shedding light on important prospects and challenges for the present and future of the field. Experts from the academic and research community participated in the discussion.
The conference continued the long-standing tradition of the "Hellenic Language and Terminology" conferences, held since 1997, which consistently contribute to the research, development, and interdisciplinary promotion of terminology in Greece.
