NLP:EL - CLARIN Knowledge Centre for Natural Language Processing in Greece

NLP:EL was established in March 2020 and is one of the officially certified CLARIN Knowledge Centres (CLARIN K-Centres) of the CLARIN ERIC European Infrastructure for Natural Language Processing (NLP), Language Technology (LT) and Language Resources (LRs) in Greece as well as Sign Language Technologies.

By actively supporting research and scientific advances in the above fields, as well as the digital readiness of the Greek language, NLP:EL's main objective is to provide access to Language Technology tools and services and Sign Language Technologies, information on studies and curricula, educational and training material and scientific publications. At the same time, NLP:EL acts as a network link with Natural Language Processing and Sign Language Technologies teams active in Greece, as well as with other certified CLARIN Knowledge Centres and with the National and European Language Resources and Technologies Infrastructures.

NLP:EL is an initiative developed and supported in the framework of CLARIN ERIC by the Department of Natural Language Processing and Language Infrastructures of the Institute for Language and Speech Processing of the "Athena" Research Centre with the support of the ILSP Sign Language Technologies Team.
