CLARIN ERIC Annual Conference 2022 was successfully concluded on Wednesday, 12 October, 2022. The CLARIN Conference is the main annual event for those working on the construction and operation of CLARIN across Europe, as well as for representatives of the communities working in the humanities, social sciences, and language technology, in order to exchange ideas and experiences within the CLARIN network.
This year, the CLARIN Annual Conference was a hybrid event and took place in Prague (Czechia) and online, on 10-12 October 2022. Overall, the CLARIN Conference 2022 was attended by 175 participants in person, with additional 143 registrations for virtual attendance. The CLARIN 2022 Programme included:
- Thematic sessions dedicated to the presentations of peer-reviewed abstracts on Language Resources and CLARIN Centres, Tools and Workflows, Legal Questions, Curation of Language Resources and Research Cases
- A Teaching with CLARIN session to celebrate educational professionals who successfully integrated CLARIN into the courses they teach and/or training materials they have developed
- A special session devoted to work by PhD students whose research is connected to CLARIN
- Three keynote presentations by invited speakers from academia and industry, who addressed issues related to Digital Humanities, Artificial Intelligence and Speech Recognition
- A session dedicated to the SSHOC project
- Two panels highlighting the work of CLARIN in the context of collaboration with Libraries and other SSH Platforms
